Custom sculpture is from £120. The final quote depends on size after photo review. There is no menu of shapes yet — send photographs and we will tell you what we can do.

This is still an evaluation, not a cart. Nothing is made until we review your photographs and you accept a quote.

  • Turnaround. The studio quotes after reviewing your photographs. We do not name a number of days until we have seen them.
  • Postage. Postage is £6, or free when the order total is £120 or more.
  • Before you pay. The studio reviews your photographs before you pay.

How your sculpture is made

    Sculpting your dog

    We build a 3D model from your photos — this one used three — then sculpt the lie of the fur by hand, so it looks like your dog rather than a generic breed.

    Matching the colours

    Fur colour and texture from your photos are mapped onto the model's contours, and we use that to choose the closest filament colours.

    Refining the details

    We compare the model against your photos up close, the eyes especially, and refine small areas like the fur along the belly until it looks right.

    Checking the shape first

    Before the final piece, we print a single-colour prototype to check the contours. Inside, a honeycomb-like structure adds strength.

    Printing

    This is the first of 2,254 layers. Finished, this sculpture stands 205mm tall.

    Printing, layer by layer

    The sculpture is built up in fine layers, over many hours. Supports hold the shape while the print head works its way up.

    Off the printer

    Once it comes off the printer, we take the supports off by hand and clean the piece up before finishing.
